*Angle stitches are used for the intertwined hearts.  I have a dedicated step by step video with timestamps linked in the instructions so you can jump to a specific row for an in depth explanation.

If you are new to angle stitches, I highly recommend trying them first with this free Heart Mug Rug pattern. This small 7”x 7” project is a great introduction to my angle notation system and includes my full stitch key.

This pattern is divided into 6 sections.  The chart sections are 5 pages each and worked from the bottom up. I would suggest using the Knit Companion app (my personal preference as it is brilliant and saves on printer ink and paper), but I have also included layout instructions if you prefer to print out your pages. The written pattern is divided into identical sections to easily use with the charts. I've also included the full chart on one page for those who prefer using the Knit Companion app (or similar technology) without all the page breaks.
