**Level 2-Advanced**  (angle stitches)

Celebrate the beauty of nature and family with this Mom and Baby Otter Mosaic Crochet Blanket Pattern — a heartwarming design that captures the playful bond between mother and child. Perfect as a baby gift, nursery decor, or cozy throw. Whether you’re creating it for a loved one or adding to your own collection, this otter design will make a splash in your mosaic crochet journey!

This mosaic crochet pattern is an advanced skill level and is recommended for crocheters with experience in mosaic overlay crochet.  Detailed instructions, photos, and video tutorials will guide you through each step of the project. With a little bit of patience and practice, you'll be a pro in no time!

If you are new to angle stitches, I highly recommend trying them first with this free Heart Mug Rug pattern. This small 7”x 7” project is a great introduction to my angle notation system and includes my full stitch key.

Written for Mosaic Overlay Crochet, this pattern includes:
•    Charts
•    Written Pattern
•    Detailed Instructions packet
•    Stitch Key
•    Photo tutorials
•    Video tutorials for each type of stitch used in the patterns

Size:  42”x 36”
*Size will vary depending on yarn weight and hook.
This calculation was based on Stylecraft Special DK yarn and hook size of 3.75mm.  Gauge:  5 stitched and 5 rows=1 inch

Yarn:

Color A (Design) – 1074 yds
Color B (Background) – 1162 yds
Double Border – 605 yds

This pattern is divided into 4 sections and is worked from the bottom up. I would suggest using the Knit Companion app (my personal preference as it is brilliant and saves on printer ink and paper), but I have also included layout instructions if you prefer to print out your charts. The written pattern sections correlate with the charts so they can be used together. I have also included a full chart on one page for those who wish to use Knit Companion (or similar technology) without all the page breaks.

Check out all the designs in my Animals and Their Young Collection!

Special thanks to Laurie Fulwood for testing this pattern.

The instructions packet should answer any questions you may have. I also have a Facebook group dedicated to answering questions and building community around my patterns. Please join us! Sign up for my newsletter for exclusive offers and never miss a sale!
