This mosaic crochet pattern is an advanced skill level and is recommended for crocheters with experience in mosaic overlay crochet. If you are new to angle stitches, I highly recommend trying them first with this free Heart Mug Rug pattern. This small 7”x 7” project is a great introduction to my angle notation system and includes my full stitch key. 

FINISHED SIZE:  40”x 54”
(201 stitches x 269 rows)

This calculation was based on weight 3 DK yarn and hook size of 3.75mm.  Gauge:  5 stitched and 5 rows=1 inch

YARN:        
Color A- 1759 yds    (Design Color)
Color B- 1999 yds (Background Color)
Color C-small amount for flag (Blue)
Color D- small amount for flag (Red)
2” Double Border – 731 yds

This pattern is divided into 8 sections and is worked from the bottom up. I would suggest using the Knit Companion app (my personal preference as it is brilliant and saves on printer ink and paper), but I have also included layout instructions for the charts if you prefer to print out your pages.
