Cockapoo - Mosaic Crochet Blanket Pattern (PDF charts only)

Warm, cozy, and graphically playful — this retro mosaic crochet blanket pattern was one of my earliest designs and features the silhouette of a Cockapoo you’ll fall in love with. 

Back in 2021, when I was new to designing, I hadn’t yet developed a system for written patterns, so this one comes in chart form only. Since its original release, the instructions packet has been updated with new video tutorial links, and I’ve also added a full one-page chart for use with Knit Companion or similar tech without all the page breaks — making this pattern even easier to work with.

✨ Level 2–Advanced (angle stitches)  

This mosaic crochet pattern is an advanced skill level and is recommended for crocheters with experience in mosaic overlay crochet. Detailed instructions, photos, and video tutorials will guide you through each step of the project. With a little bit of patience and practice, you'll be a pro in no time!

If you are new to angle stitches, I highly recommend trying them first with this free Heart Mug Rug pattern. This small 7”x 7” project is a great introduction to my angle notation system and includes my full stitch key.

OPTIONAL PERSONALIZATION
There is space in the design to personalize your blanket with a name.  I have several alphabet fonts available that fit this space nicely (sold separately).

FINISHED SIZE  
There are 2 Size options included with purchase:  

-Large size (includes the words I ♥ My Cockapoo) 62”x 71” 
(247 stitches x 283 rows)

-Small size (silhouette with paw prints) 40”x 51”
(158 stitches x 203 rows)
*Size will vary depending on yarn weight and hook.  
This calculation was based on weight 4 worsted/aran yarn and hook size of 4mm.  Gauge:  4 stitches and 4 rows=1 inch

ABOUT MOSAIC CROCHET  
Mosaic crochet uses one color per row to create crisp, graphic lettering and imagery — no yarn is carried along the back of the work.

This pattern is divided into sections and is worked from the bottom up. I would suggest using the Knit Companion app (my personal preference as it is brilliant and saves on printer ink and paper), but I have also included layout instructions for the charts if you prefer to print out your pages.
